What makes Grounded products different?

Why use tallow in skincare and soap?

Tallow is a traditional rendered animal fat with a naturally rich fatty-acid profile. In body care it creates an emollient, nourishing feel, while in cold-process soap it contributes to a firm bar and creamy lather. We pair tallow with other carefully chosen oils, butters, clays, botanicals, and aromatic ingredients depending on the formula.

Is tallow suitable for all skin types?

Many people enjoy tallow-based products, including those who prefer rich, simple skincare. Skin is individual, though, so we recommend reviewing the full ingredient list and patch testing a new leave-on product before broader use, especially if your skin is sensitive or reactive.

Will tallow body butter feel greasy?

Tallow body butter is concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Start with a small amount, warm it between your hands, and massage it into clean or slightly damp skin. Using less at first usually gives the best absorbed, comfortable finish.

How is handmade tallow soap different from conventional soap?

Our tallow soaps are made in small batches using a traditional soapmaking process. Is handmade tallow soap more expensive than regular soap?

Handmade soap can cost more than mass-produced bars because of its ingredients, small-batch process, curing time, and hands-on production. Grounded pricing reflects the formula, size, ingredients, and craftsmanship of each bar.

Using Your Grounded Products

How can I make handmade soap last longer?

Let your bar dry thoroughly between uses and keep it out of standing water. A draining soap dish or soap saver helps air circulate around the bar. You can find soap-care accessories in our Accessories collection.

How do I use tallow body butter?

Apply a small amount to clean skin and massage until absorbed. For a lighter feel, use it on slightly damp skin after bathing. Because the formula is concentrated, begin with less than you think you need and add more as desired.

Why did my tallow product change texture?

Tallow, natural butters and oils respond to temperature. A product may become softer in warm conditions or firmer when cool, including during shipping. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight and allow it to return to a moderate room temperature before use.

How do I use Grounded topical magnesium products?

Should I patch test a new product?

How should I store Grounded products?

Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight, and keep water out of jars and containers. Natural butters and oils can soften or firm with temperature changes, so keeping them at a moderate room temperature helps maintain their intended texture.

Do you ship?

Yes. Grounded currently ships within the United States. Enjoy free standard shipping on U.S. orders of $55 or more, after discounts and before applicable taxes. What is your return policy?

Eligible unopened and unused items may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us within the 14-day window before sending anything back. Because Grounded sells personal-care products, opened, used, or tested soap, skincare, body care, lip care, topical magnesium and similar items are generally not eligible for return or exchange for hygiene reasons.
